On this episode Rhoden Fellow Scott Lipscomb was able to interview Khalid Green ahead of the release of his book “Free Game.” The book is a manual for black and brown parents navigating through the complicated, political and intimidating terrain of amateur sports. Mr. Green touches on exposing kids to high level play as well as well as making players buy in to create a cohesive unit. Quinton Mincey (Umass Lowell) and Christian McDaniel (Hamilton) both touch on the rich culture of DMV hoops, and how basketball has allowed them to give back to their communities.
